For those still looking to getting a PS5. Not sure if this is NA only though

Queue-it (playstation.com)

This is how I got my PS5. It originally stated at "more than an hour" but after 15 minutes, I was in.

I lucked out as since Brazil is a poor country a whataspp tracking group when informing of incoming inventory you could buy it with the stock lasting couple hours like once a month. I had to wait on the group for like 1 week.

And after that all the major stores I had faved the console informed whenever there was inventory so if you have the money you can buy it at a reasonable wait.

I think it's madness 1440p wasn't available from the start. Not sure if it was some weird attempt to push Sony TV's as they don't have any screens in the 1440p range.

It have more to do with priorities.

If you remember PS4 there were several functions missing from it for several years. Probably they expected a very small number of their customers to care about 1440p as well most console players would use a TV.

This months PS+ games released a couple days early! Claimed THPS and got to play for it a bit. Brings back soooooo many good memories. Especially on the soundtrack! I would've gotten it on PC, but I hate EGS lol. Just feels right playing it on a PlayStation anyways :)

I have been thoroughly impressed by Sony's embrace of PC technology in general with their venture in to the market. Continues the tradition with SM Remastered that it'll be Steam Deck Verified at launch. All of Sony's other releases have received the same verification. Not even all of Xbox's releases have that kind of verification! Or are as embracing of PC tech like DLSS and DLAA.

Insomniac is almost unfair. Doesn't matter the technology, if it can be included in their game they will =p each update sony made to the FW that allows for a new mode they have patched to SM.
