This has been a crazy month for tech enthusiasts. AMD will be supporting legacy X370/A320 motherboards with new Ryzen CPU's and now PS5 potentially has a shot at supporting 1440P.
In an interview with with Japanese outlet AVWatch; PS hardware engineer Masayasu Ito and platform planning and management Hideaki Nishino talk about upcoming technologies including the new PSVR whats interesting is this quote
"The current PS5 does not support 1440p output, but this is based on the idea that "our priority is to support TVs" (Mr. Nishino). If there are a lot of requests for this, they will be able to support it at ...... while keeping an eye on market trends. " (translated Japanese via Era)
