PUBG who is to a degree, tied to MS, sues Epic who sided with PS to a certain extent. Epic more recently turns on PS to a certain degree and now PUBG drops the lawsuit. Hmm...
I like the way you think chiggin. But it was Sony that kinda screwed that pooch, not epic turning on Sony. It's completely in Sony's power to fix what is going on they just don't want to, which is a shame.
I was more so pointing out the fact that Epic has said things like, 'Fortnite is even better when your playing with your real friends, and due to platform restrictions there are some players that aren't able to play with their friends and their left out, and you know gamers want cross play. At Epic we are committed to doing whatever it takes to make that happen. Players deserve it.'
For Epic to point the finger at PS in terms of not allowing cross accounts and cross play, knowing full well that's part of the deal if they wanted to have Fortnite on the PS4 platform, and the success they've had because of it, is pretty ungrateful. It's also a bit stingy of PS not to allow either or, but it's not like Epic was forced to agree. If they really believed it was so important, they should have kept Fortnite off the PS4 and then used PS policies against them to help unlock these restrictions for 'some players' since they 'deserve it'. Getting the game on that platform first then doing the same thing is pretty sleazy. It's like infiltrating an organization from the inside to sabotage, like spy level stuff, but for gaming.
To say that it's the fault of PS and they can fix it now, is basically saying use public pressure to force them to, 'or else'. I'm sure if it was made extremely clear to PS that cross play was going to be 'accidentally' turned on for Fortnite for a period of time, and that Epic would go around saying things that go against the policies they agreed to, that PS may very well have told them they can take their game elsewhere and then either forget about it, find something else to replace it, wait it out for H1Z1 or push it's launch forward.
Can't help but find it suspicious that PUBG drops the lawsuit right when the heat get's cranked up on PS about Fortnite though.
