Forums - General Discussion - I just saw a childhood friend have a better life than me on facebook

Grass is always greener on the other side.

He is probably jealous of someone else on facebook, or could even be of you. Someone else is jealous of you on facebook also.

Don't worry about others and just live your life.

Material things and a girlfriend doesn't mean he has a better life than you, lol...unless...you chalk up having a better life by what who own and having a Girlfriend.

Don't worry too much about other people's accomplishments. Find the things that make you happy and set your own personal goals. Everyone is different and thus, the things that make other people happy may not be the same for you. If you still want us to lock the thread, just let us know.

That's what Facebook is for. Comparing lives. It's a competition. Get out there and win it.

There is nothing wrong with staying at home well into your 20s or 30s and living in your parent's basement and playing video games instead of working. If you live in Europe you can collect welfare from the government to live that lifestyle.

1. Most important: Be happy for your childhood friend that he's doing well and found somebody. Never be jealous of others but maybe use that as a tool to help push your life forward.
2. Having those things doesn't always mean they have a better life than you. Facebook can be fake and what you see isn't might not always be what's real. (ie people talking about how awesome their relationship where in fact its horrible)
3. People pace their lives differently, so while your friend has that, you'll have yours in due time, just need to be patient.
4. ...maybe she's not even that cute? lol jk
