That should go down when Ant-Man and the wasp and Captain Marvel come out. Best case scenario is that they're in the 700-900 million range so that. A:IW2 can bring up the average per movie over 1 billion again.

Captain Marvel could do great.

They're going to play on the IW2 introduction with the past of Thanos, and you can expect lots of "First Marvel female superhero" articles...

Agreed. If America goes as crazy for Captain Marvel as they did for Black Panther just because of the fact she's a female superhero, then it will easily gross over a billion worldwide.

Whether the hype of IW results in better sales will be tested next month with Ant Man. If it manages 800+ million than Captain Marvel is almost guaranteed a Billion.

Well, Ant Man is less related to IW (at least for the general audience) so I'm not sure that it will do great, but we'll see!

captain marvel looks so generic it reminds me of DC superheroes. it has no appeal tbh. shes quite the generic superhero with a silly outfit. which is again very DC like.

it might do bad.  but then again wonderwoman was quite atrocious and got good reviews probably to look progressive. because you know its like we never had superhero females before. so lets glorifity a really badly made movie

Good for them. Those children in Africa really need that food.

Of course the average will drop, but Ant Man and Captain Marvel only need to gross a combined 1.4 billion (estimating that Infinity War still has another 70 million left, but worst case is 1.45 billion) to keep the average above 1 billion, even without IW2.
