It's nice to see phil has changed him mind on splashing that cash for 'exclusive' content and advertising. As far as the conference goes:

The PS5 Exists.

People actually think this was a 9 outta 10? wut?

Yeah, it has a lot of great reveals. I mean, if you're looking at it from a 'how good was it for Microsoft' then maybe a 6 or 7, but on the whole for gamers? yeah, totally a 9/10.

To be fair, your name is JRPG fan and Microsoft deals primarily with US/European games, so it makes sense that their output might not be up your alley.

I think conferences should be judged based on the situation of that console in its life-cycle, which puts more pressure on Microsoft because they are in a far trailing position. Not only do they have to showcase things that will please their current fans and console owners, they have the burden to showcase things that will attract new consumers. If you're a console owner there may be a few things you are excited about, but lets be completely honest. Nothing about this conference got non-owners excited. In my opinion as someone who owns the console I feel worse post than pre-conference. I can expect basically no new unique experience on this console. Almost all multiplatforms that won't sell best on Xbox and just more of the Halo, Gears, Forza rehashes. Where is the creativity?

For people who say this. Do you guys really expect Microsoft to drop their top 3 games. I get people might not be big fans of these games but these are the first party games that people buy an Xbox for and they have millions of dedicated fans.

So wait, Fallout 76 is single player? Apparently hearing that the rumors before were false.

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

I pretty much agree with all your posts here.

5/10. People talk about being entertained. That's an extremely low bar to set. I'm entertained by watching funny or die clips for an hour. Doesn't mean they are 7+ out of ten. I care about them selling me their products, games, vision etc  and they failed to do so

Great showing! Variety, surprises, big content... I wonder how Sony can respond to that tomorrow. They will need more than a few exclusives and COD.

Of course it was

I was so stoked for DMC5! This bodes well for REmake 2 being shown off tomorrow @ Sony's presser, especially with the Leon Kennedy R.P.D. jacket up for sale in Japan. My guess is Capcom didn't want both their major titles to hog the spotlight from each other.

I also loved seeing the new Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Kingdom Hearts 3 footage.

I must admit, MS really pulled out all the stops this year, so many surprises.
