France had it from the beginning. They played very well. My money was on Belgium honesty, but I wasn't paying attention to France. Very good team. Congratulations.

As expected France won the World Cup. While I'm still not a fan of them, I have to admit that they played very good football in this tournament and deserved it more than Croatia. Congrats to Deschamp and his players.

His kit had a slightly different shade of blue but aye some of those calls in the first half were painful to watch, it wasn't like Croatia were already the underdogs going into it, but to have clear video footage of the free show that it was no more than a stumble but then video evidence was pulled out to gift France a penalty for the questionable handball. Should have given slightly more leeway on the second decision based on the mistake with the first imo.

I feel that the fact that France scored 2 legit goals in the second half was still undermined by the fact that Croatia were having to play from behind courtesy of the bad luck / ref mistakes early on, sort of like saying a boxer won by TKO so early round results don't matter.. but the first rounds the ref was holding Croatia down and letting France get blows in... so to speak.

Have to say though, was a good tournament to watch overall considering the setting I was expecting more controversy, what were those people thinking rushing the pitch during the game though... have they ever seen any news about Russian Police? they're not really known to go soft on people for acting like idiots.

I was neutral and never saw that. Penalty was 100% justified too
