RDR2, COD BO4, Battlefield 5, Fallout 76, Spiderman, Kingdom Hearts 3, FIFA compared to a second rate pokemon spinoff and smash is downright unfair if not laughable. Plus the appeal of Fortnite and its seasons/updates will only serve to attract more kids to PS4/Xbox One. I'm surprised so many people think the Switch will do well when it just doesn't have the means to even compete, it's severely outmatched. Blind fanboyism I guess. |
Oh boy you are about to be in for an awakening if this is how you really think.

Really? Switch kept up pretty well last year and that was with no bundles or price drops and only Super Mario Odyssey as it's main holiday sales driver. |
What are u saying is literally are PS4 in the early years, at hat times no others consoles exist except failed Wii U. But now Switch competing with PS4 that have matured both in 3rd party support and first party support. Yeah good luck with that

People forget the PS3's 2 biggest years were 2010 and 2011. That's equivalent to PS4's 2017 and 2018. So those saying PS4 is selling well for a 4.5 year old console forget that it's actually in it's prime years. I realise not every console cycle is the same, but so far the trend for PS4 has very much mirrored the PS3 in the latter years, except on a much bigger scale of course. |
Yeah, both 360 and espacily PS3 had slower start with much stronger sales in later years, especially around 2010/2011/2012 when Wii was in huge decline and Wii owners start buying PS3/360 consoles. Both PS3/360 had very strange sales thorugh years compared to any other console on market including PS4.

I don't see Metroid Prime 4 releasing this year. If they release Smash, Pokemon, Metroid and Fire Emblem this year, what's left for next year? The other Pokemon? They don't have that much big games, they can't launch everything competing with each other on the same period and then do nothing for months (like MS...). Metroid, if ready, should release in early 2019. |
I also think we want get Metroid Prime 4 this years, but regardles Metroid for next year Switch will probably have Pokemon, Bayonetta 3, Animal Crossing, Shin Megami Tensei, that heavily rumored Star Fox Grand Prix, 2D Mario, posiblites like Pikmin 4, Lugis Mansion...few more Wii U ports, some 3rd party exclusives...plus Metroid Prime 4 offcourse.

Blind fanboyism!? :D
Actually you are one that act like you are blind, Pokemon despite its not core Pokemon game can actualy be more popular and sell more consoles than core Pokemon game because its aimed to broader audience, including mobile gamers. Saying that Smash Bros is on downright is crazy, Smash Bros 4 sold 5.5m on Wii U on install base of 13.5m, Smash Bros for Switch will probably best selling Smash Bros game ever like we already saw with 3D Zelda, 3D Mario and Splatoon. So they Pokemon and Smash Bros are one of strongest and biggest system seller games for Nintendo hardware, and both those games coming in Q4 of this year.
Most of games you mention for PS4 are multi platform games, also Fifa 19 and seems that Fortnite also are coming to Switch.
Last edited by Miyamotoo - on 01 June 2018It depends on what games are releasing and the deals available. Sony only really needs a GoW bundle with a good price to beat the others.

With Fortnite being rated for Switch I'm assuming that leaked list of games is real.
Switch should dominate the holidays!
Fortnite/Pokemon/Smash is a killer combo.
Pokémon + Smash Bros. + Whathever Nintendo announces at E3 = Sony and Microsoft get rekt

So right now its probably: Pokemon, Smash bros and Fire emblem. Rumors are making it seem like Retro´s new game will be announced this E3, Fortnite is coming, Pikmin 4 is somewhere in there and Fallout 3 seems to be a possible reveal. Ofcourse these are all just rumors but I believe some of them, Fornite especially now that its rated and Pikmin 4 coming soon is believable. I think as long as the Switch gets Pokemon smash, FE and Fortnite it could win. Fornite on the go could be a huge draw for Nintendo.
Let’s Go will outsell everything this year.
In fact, I’m scared that it might sell so much that will affect future main Pokémon titles.
