Well I enjoyed it. Got some Fire Emblem which looks great. Sad about delay though.
Smash was long, but I'll take a 30 minute smash talk over a 30 minute wait for venue switch anyday.
Some nice looking Indies I'll be grabbing.
Xeno expansion looks great.
What's up with Star Fox: Grand Prix btw?
Do I see this right that the only big Releases from Nintendo from August untill December are Pokemon and Smash? This would be pretty bad.
village boy learns to jump.
Meh, overall this was as bad as Sonys presentation. I just don’t understand what kind of people they have planning these presentations. They should be set up as pitches, straight to the point with no extra fluff.
Nintendo started off great with plenty of games to show and then spends the whole second half of the direct on a single game, talking about things that have no place in a presentation like this. Ugh...
4/10

Smash being an enhanced port afterall is also unfortunate, but it'll still be great of course. Not worth taking up that much time however, especially when you wasted time telling us nothing new about the Pokemon cash grab. Splatoon 2 dlc still not having a date is also laughable. I didn't see a car in the Mario Party game so there's hope it'll be good, but still lame that it's the only newly announced game. Just ugh! Will be sure to try out Fortnite though, but damn Nintendo I'm not so sure about you selling 20m this fiscal year anymore. |
One other strange this is the launch date of Smash. In december and not right or around the launch of their online service.

If that is the case. Then im expecting 2019 > 2018 |
Thats extremely likely, at least thats the way i see it.
My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

They're currently "announcing" new Amiibos on the Treehouse. No exciting announcements during Treehouse confirmed.
Strange that they padded out the direct for 15 minutes when it wasn't really needed. Treehouse alone could have told those details by itself like last year.
It looks like Nintendo felt the need to drop a long direct but just didn't have the range of material to do so. They could have expanded on the new pokemon instead of some of the smash stuff. Odd choices there.

Smash is not an enhanced port.just because it uses assets from the last game it dosent mean its a port.Every smash reuses alot of assets from previous games. Its just that the Switch isnt thqat far off in power compared to the Wii U that allowed them to reuse so much, but this is a brand new game.
