What's the big deal? You essentially get to rent RE7 for 20 bucks for 6ish months.

Only people with a good and stable internet connection will be able to play it.

That and Capcom can later remove this game from the library at the drop of a hat.  At least with ther cartridge size BS so long as you didn't delete the files you can keep it.  And there will be other means of getting the needed files if you buy it years later.  This?  No, it exists and you can have it only by Capcom's good graces.

How come the company that made my first ever (and one of my favourites) game drop so low? I used to love Capcom, Resident Evil, Gargoyle's Quest, Okami, Zack & Wiki, Street Fighter, etc.

Now, and especially regarding the Switch, they are being completely stupid and insulting. And in case anyone asks, yes I'd rather they haven't put ANY game on the Switch, than these TRAVESTIES.

CapcomNow?

This isn’t even coming to America from I read. Weird. Capcom what are you doing?

How many people complaining about this actually live in a condition where you have a subpar Internet connection so you are genuinely concerned vs just jumping in the shoes of somebody else to create an opportunity to complain about an issue that's not yours...... Or just pissy because its not the port you wanted? If PS Now is anything to go by, if you have a decent Internet connection you will be fine.  I speak from experience.

Because there’s a contingent of “Nintendo fans” - more accurately put Gamecube fans - who always want to put themselves in the role of the victim. This group rose up strongly  in the Gamecube era when everyone called it a kiddy system, and we’ve been plagued with their perpetual-victim hood ever since.

Sorry, I’m probably more annoyed by the association with this victim mentality (as a Nintendo fan) than you are =P

But I agree, this seems like a fairly cool idea in running a high fidelity game on the Switch, and 20USD is about the cost of a lunch or two. Not bad for a 180 day rental for a game made for a high-end box console.

OK, the only way you can not be seeing this is being completely biased. I can give you RE7 (although I can bet money that this could be ported with average results).

But, how they've handled the Switch is completely ridiculous and insulting. I feel like they are doing the bare minimum to mop up any extra money they can make on their games, in order to fund their next games on other platforms.

How is MHW on PC and Xbox more justified than a Switch version? Why is Okami HD not a simultaneous release alongside every other platform? This game literally screams Nintendo. How come we don't have a Street Fighter V or even IV version after the sales of the ROM they released on the Switch's launch?

How about all the half game on cartridge / half eshop fiasco, just to save money on ROMS! They are treating Switch owners like crap, but I guess it is easier to always blame Nintendo, right?

I live in such conditions. And I would argue that im not alone in this.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Well that’s something. It’s going to be interesting to see hos this edition will work, although i don’t think we will Get a western release anytime soon

It's streamed, so you need an internet connection and you don't own it, it's $20 (more or less) for 180 days.  That's all I need to know to say screw that and screw them.

Yeah. Screw you netflix. I dont own that movies. And yeah. Screw you capcom because i wanted to play RE7 4 billion times in those 6 month. And screw you capcom for not allowing it for 7 month. Because we wanted to play 7 month straight just one fucking game. If you want to play it 10 years later, just wait for the switch 3 and than download it. Dont cry people. Nintendo made a weak console and thats the Solution.
