Forums - Sony Discussion - Beating A Dead Horse But God Of War Is Freaking Amazing

It is a very good game and I really enjoyed it.Kratos is hands down my favorite character after this game.I honestly don't think we'll see a better PS4 exclusive after this.I put this up there next to Bloodborne,TlOU and Horizon in my book.

Yea, the best. Not without flaws (climbing can be tedious), but the best.

The experience as a whole felt to me more like a Dragon Age Origins, listening to the conversations and stories of the companions.

The ending felt anticlimactic. But in retrospect i think it would ve felt that way either way. One of those rare games i dont want to end. Well, still have the Muspelheim challenges.

Hunting Season is done...

For me it will be the game of the year. It is a pity that main story was quite short :(

It won't be beating a dead horse until the GoW 2.

It's beating a dead horse because we already have plenty of other threads saying the very same thing. :)

I'll let this one go, but no more...

I agree. Enough is enough already lol.

Its a great game for sure. Really made me care about GOW again.

While I agree God of War definitely raised the bar. I would even say that I put it a bit above Horizon and Bloodborne. TLOU 2 could surpass it. Although chances are bigger that it doesn't than that it will. This game is pretty much the embodyment of all the best traits Sony games have to offer. But hey even if TLOU  2 can't beat this game it can still be one heck of an experience.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

It’s pretty great! The combat is super engaging and the side content is about as good as the main campaign, which is very impressive. I had my doubts about this new direction but ir definitely paid off, it’s the best in the series.
That being said, I felt the bosses were disappointing, especially after the first fight with “the stranger” set expectations so high...
