well the thing with 3rd party exclusives is if u make it one the 360 it would be stupid not to make it on ps3 at that point and vise versa

The Wii's won a war that it's fighting by itself, it created a new market to sell to , it monopolised it , well done Ninty.
The only reason it looks like everyone else is doing bad is because there is more competition than previously , The PS3 isn't performing more poorly than last gen because of the Wii , I attribute most of the PS3's losses to the XBOX 360. Sony underestimated microsoft and they paid for it heavily.

As far as top games, honestly, the Wii certainly has more buy-worthy games than my PS3.
As far as exclusives, which are all important to library quality, then the Wii is far and away ahead.
So, in a contest of PS3 vs Wii, how can the Wii be "dead last in quality" yet still have a superior library to the PS3? ...but then again, that's just my opinion. Do you disagree with it?
In fact, since this is really about opinion, how can you be sure that "...and things aren't changing" is even possible.

The hypocrisy of ithe article is hilarious. They are trying to prove wii is not 1st party dominated by using Nintendos own games, example being given Mario Galaxy. WTF is the article about then ? Wii not being 1st party dominated or over all exclusuives ?

ps - what damage control ? i got GT5p coming then GTA4 then MGS4, as far as gaming goes iam freaking on cloud 9 these days. It more looks like wii fanboys are doing the damage control by posting foolish articles like these no matter where they find them.

If people call getting a mass of exclusive games like Bratz Kidz, Build-A-Bear Workshop, Kitty Luv, Cabela's Monster Bass, Purr Pals, and Garfield Gets Real winning the exclusivity war, then more power to Nintendo.
The Wii is getting some quality to mediocre third-party exclusives, I am just saying they are few and far between.

I just want to say that I wouldn't want to be in a gaming world with only the Wii games to content with.
The Wii is original but too different to the PS360 to count as winning the exclusivity war.... The Wii games are great but even with the thin release schedule for PS360 it is still worth a look and I must say those looks are in awe (GTA4, MGS4, RE5).

D. To clarify for you, however, the article is about how exclusives bring more money to consoles. I only point out that good exclusives add more to library quality, imo, than do multiplats. The article appears to be about industry finance, not fanboyism.

Now, I own a PS3. Indeed it has some great games coming up, and I have hope for the system. Right now, it's got very little. I bought the system for Japanese support, and so far we have virtually none. In fact, most PS3 fanboys on this site, like me, love anime, JRPG's, and the PS2. The PS3 isn't even comparable on those fronts.
I hope this is the end of our debate.

...just to correct you, the article is about the top 100 selling titles. You know that, obviously, so I do doubt that Bratz Kid, or Build-A-Bear are in there. Carnival Games, Cooking Mama, those probably made the list, but lets be honest. You think the PS3 has a better exclusive list of games than the Wii?
The reason the Wii is "winning" the exclusivity list, besides simply making more money off exclusives which is what the list is all about anyway, is because it has Nintendo games. Games made by Nintendo that are great, and sell well, and will never go to another console.
Games on the PS3 and 360 that are great are often multiplats, because they cost so much to develop, the more platforms they are easily ported too, the better.
As this generation goes on, the Wii will gain exclusives, while the PS3 and 360 will lose them. Mass Effect will go to PC, Halo 3, PC, MGS4 possibly 360, all of these games that you people like to say "will never go to" wherever, often end up as timed exclusives. They are easily portably and there is money to be made. Nintendo games are never timed exclusives. Hence, what we've got here.
Cause when the biggest publisher financially, publishes exclusively for your console, don't be surprised when your console earns the most money off exclusive games.
Does exclusive game profit matter? Who knows. I've got no opinion.
How much of MS's exclusive dollars are accounted for with Halo 3, that's the question.
Also, do these numbers count "console exclusives" or do PC ports count against exclusivity?
