But if you demand changes, you expect them to happen. After all, you are demanding them.

Not really. I often make posts pushing for socialist revolution on this site, but I sure as hell don't expect it to happen.

Nah.If you push for something, if you demand for something, is that you want that to happen. If you want something to happen, then you create an expectation that it may happen, no matter how big or small that expectation is.If you push for a socialist revolution, it means that you want one to happen. If you want one to happen, you have an expectation, a hope, that it will eventually happen, no matter how small that chance is, or how small your expectation for that to happen is.

What you are saying and what you mean is, is to keep the expectations in check.Expectations will be there regardless, but depending on how big they are, you be more dissapointed, or less dissapointed. But the expectation will be there regardless.

Wanting something to happen is not the same as expecting it. It depends on what your goals are in demanding it, some people demand things because they believe that it will come with an eventual realization of their goals. Other people demand things not because they think it will happen, but because their moral compass obligates them to do so.

Anyone who thinks Sony paid them off for this is a jackass.

No, this is infuriating because it's pathetic.  The Switch version is a port, plain and simple.  Looks the same just at 1080p and a stable 30fps.  I am 99% sure there's next to no other improvements except maybe a very, very mild texture resolution bump.  And yet THIS version gets delayed?  A port of a 7 year old game?  I mean, what IS the standard here?  At what point does that quaint quote pulled out to defend every delay become an inadequate defense against accusations of either incompetence or just not caring?

That Miyamoto quote is bullshit anyway as virtually every single game is rushed to some degree.

Hold on, hold on.You are either moving goalposts now, or just changing subjects entirely.

What I said is:If someone wants something, then he expects them to happen.Im not adressing the "intensity" of that expectation or wish here. But I didnt say that if someone expects something, it dosent necessarily mean that he wants it.Its two very different things. In the first situation, if the condition A is met, then B is always true. But in the second situation, if the condition A is met, B is not necessarily always true.

Getting one big third party support here and there is to get hopes too high? For every noteworthy game that the Switch gets(that is not first party), PS4 and XOne gets 10.

This is not asking too much.

I didn't say anything about asking too much, obviously people should demand more out of the publishers/developers and I'm fine with people critiquing them. What I meant is more on a personal/emotional level, I think the best approach is to continually demand for more while also not expecting it so that the blow won't be so bad when something like this does happen.

One can't simply choose to not expect something, though. Expectations will occur regardless of what you try and do.

But hopefully this wasn't a huge blow to anyone. People: It's only the Switch version that's getting delayed!

The Switch has only been out for one year, so I find it hard to believe that there are more than just a handful of people who only own a Switch and no other console. And if you're interested in a remastered version of Dark Souls, you're probably looking towards a more powerful console anyways, otherwise you might as well just play the original.

If you as a Nintendo only console holder have not built in some level of disappointment, tempered expectation for non-Nintendo releases, then there is really no help for you. You either wait the delay out or obtain another system where this type of behavior doesn't occur and regulate your Nintendo console to just Nintendo games.

I wonder, in case the delay is because Namco releated reasons, what was Kimishima's reaction?

He does not seem to be very patient.

He´s got to be rightfully pissed. The game was even first revealed on the Switch, and now being the only version that´s delayed.

Well, look at my original post, did you truly believe that the Switch would ever become the primary destination for third-party games? I fail to see how wanting to win something means someone expects it. Let's take the lottery for example. If someone wants to win the lottery, that doesn't necessarily mean that they expect to win it.
