Your mistake is relying so much on COMG pre-orders.

Kirby Star Allies had 2/3 the points of Triple Deluxe yet slightly outsold it.

The Switch version of Attack on Titan had more points yet was outsold by the PS4 version.

COMG is a nice tool just like Amazon rankings but they dont always paint the whole picture.

I realize the variance issues with COMG but it provides a good enough ballpark to see if an upcoming release will have any momentum however, so far I still don't see DKCTF on the list yet ... (you'd have to be sincerely concerned how the game would perform if it doesn't show up on the charts in the last week of pre-orders)

Well let's hope its supply or else it's doomed. RolStoppable reply to you makes sense though.

Random but welcome back!

Cheers. But who said I was gone?!

Returns 3D didnt show up until 12 days left and went on to sell over 400k so no, there is no need to be concerned that Tropical Freeze hasnt shown up yet with 22 days left.

Returns 3D

Entered charts-12 days to go

Exited charts-59 points

First week sales-~100k

Lifetime sales-~420k

It entered the charts with 17 points except this time around the threshold is much lower with the lowest pre-ordered game(s) having less than 10 points currently today and could get lower as more games release while the lowest pre-ordered game during that time was 13 points ...

And DKCTF might not even get the benefit of catering to a larger userbase either compared to it's predecessor ...

Ok, Returns 3D showed up with 17pts with 12 days left.

Tropical Freeze is currently under 10pts with 22 days left.

I still see no reason to be concerned, it could very well grow to 17pts in the next 10 days or like i said earlier, Star Allies had 2/3 the points of Triple Deluxe yet had a higher debut so im not really concerned with the amount points Tropical Freeze gets.

What do you mean by your last statement? Switch is already ahead of Wii U, 4m vs 3.3m, im not sure what youre getting at.

Oh you mean, a whole new engine called 2D-HD having one of the most complex pixel-art you would want for any game + extensive voice acting + orchestrated music isn't enough to convince you of it's value ?

Look I'm not saying this game was on AAA level there, but you comparing it to a low budget indie title is just ridiculous. Then going to make the Secret of Mana Remake comparaison which is infamous for it's low polygon-esque graphics with subpar voice acting makes me seriously question your logic there.

Actually, I think you're probably trolling.

False, their using Unreal Engine 4 and there's nothing "complex" about sprites or bitmaps mapped on 3D surfaces and as far as voice acting is concerned, I'd like to see a list of their VAs cause famous names require some real cash (we'll also see if they add english VAs too) and I don't see anything special about the rest of the games sound design either ...

And don't knock on the Secret of Mana remake, it is an action RPG with FULL 3D animations too ...

Yet the SNES game looks better.

Ah well, I guess they could try next time but it sucks for the work the devs behind the remake put in ...
