Switch back in Top 10 of all European Amazon sites asides from the UK.

Was there some type of price cut in Europe? So odd to see momentum increase simultaneously across Amazon Europe.

Looks like Labo is starting to beast in Japan already :)

ouch, God of War not even in the top 100 in the UK hourlies

it sold out yesterday

God of war has never been available on Amazon UK for some reason.  I presume Amazon has botched ordering.  Luckily the UK has no reliance on Amazon like the US, and for pretty anything gamers go to other online sites where you get lower prices, free delivery and often receive the games a day earlier.  It has been that way that Amazon UK is irrelevant since mid last gen unfortunately, so no guide for anything there.

I'm sure it was. Isn't it just out of stock?

I kept checking a lowest prices website daily from early March, hoping to get it for much cheaper than full price.  Amazon was always blacked out during that time, and the Times I checked, it was always with that currently unavailable message.  If it has sold out to pre March pre orders, it seems dumb that Amazon haven't secured more stock.  All of the other major UK online retailers don't seem to have the problem.  Maybe Amazon is downsizing their gaming division in preparation for a much higher digital uptake, and their inability to remain competitive with their UK competitors, who might be £10 cheaper.

Maybe there is more to it.  I think maybe Amazon as an whole is too run by metrics and algorithms, rather than the human touch.  I often think that when seeing things sold out in short time, sales not being accounted for with extra stock.  That is my only answer as to why they are terrible at predicting popularity of future products, when any random forum guy can see what is going to be big.

According to Celedor, it sold out yesterday.

That's almost definitely not true GG. I only preordered on Saturday from elsewhere, and that message was there then. I don't believe it has come into stock on Sunday and sold out by Monday. Maybe there is a supply train dispute. Like I said though Amazon UK probably accounts for 1% of a smaller market compared to the 10% or so of the much bigger US market. It is in no charts or movers and shakers. I got the same pre-order bonuses from elsewhere, which I think might be the problem. Maybe they asked for Amazon exclusive content, realised everybody else had got that content and refused to sell it. I have no answer. Maybe it will come out in gaming news somewhere about the reasons why.

Amazon are known for being petty, they often keep away from things viewed as rival products, which is why you won't find things like YouTube or google play games on your kindle tablet. It is what worries me when I see Amazon has no rival stateside, they can dictate everything at RRP, Whereas in the UK everyone competes, so I can buy an Xbox X with 5 games and extra controller for the same price as standalone X from Amazon, as an off the top of my head example.
