I am glad that Star Ocean is popular enough that SE has all these nice events for it, but we don't need a Star Ocean yet. tri-Ace needs reaally think hard about what they are going to do when it comes to growing the series. We cant have games like SO5. I like SO5 put is was kinda shameful.

Well, I'm somewhat intrigued. The series hasn't produced a good game since Star Ocean 3 on the PS2, so at this point any possibility of a new game leaves me slightly skeptical of its quality. I hope they can turn things around for the series, but until they do I won't get too optimistic.

I think it's going to be a mobile game, seeing that SOV didn't do too hot. Join the ranks of Breath of Fire...:-{

Well I wasn't that dissapointed with the last SO game. My biggest gripe is probably how short it is felt it had a small budget.

If it is not SO6 I would like a Star Ocean Heroes(warriors).

I really loved DQ heroes especially the second one with the open world and I play SO more for nostalgic reasons anyway so would be great
to play with Claude/Rena and so on.

Every thread about a Japanese game company burrows down  to the same shit. Star Ocean already has a mobile game. Sov actually did ok - not in regards to previous entrys, but to its budget.

Eh... Im my case, not even the SO brand would make musou game interesting. I wouldn't mind something like the Phantasy Star Online series though.

Star ocean needs a reboot.

Create a new timeline.

Its not necessary. Because Star Ocean events happen over the course of a 100's of years, they are not locked into anything. For example they could just jump to 1000S.D. and then have a series of new events not connected to anything pre 1000S.D.

No it doesn't... Japanese game companies are doing great. It's just that a lot of them are joining the mobile bandwagon, and letting hardcore fans down. Yes, it has one already but what's stopping it from getting another? Tales of series has tons of mobile games. I'm just being cautious with Square Enix as of late because of how bad they treat anything other than Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts. Or, aka, their B and C tier franchises. And that's understandable. But it has taught me to not get my hopes up for Square Enix's announcements.
