This number means nothing though with second accounts and Game Pass trials included.

Except SoT is currently sitting at the number 2 spot in the xbox paid games list so its clearly getting good sales, and you can't transfer your character over accounts so if you made another account you would have a fresh character. If someone wants to play it that badly but not pay the full price they would just get game pass.

I think people are overestimating Game Pass.  I'm not interested in Crackdown 3 or State of Decay 2 and I have every game I'd want to own.  For me, buying the full game was a better value as I'm tied to enough subscription models as it is.  If I later would cancel Game Pass, I couldn't play SoTs at all.

Nice concept but bad execution. It could have been good at last , but it lack content.

And then some shitwad like Jim Sterling will likely hate on it just because that's all he's good for.

I have much love for Jim Sterling. And he is not a game rewiewer anymore so no score from him.

Watching it on Youtube it really looks like a game that could be awesome if they flesh out the end-game. Definitely looks like a ton of fun if you have a group of friends to play with.

Trust me, just one friend to play with and it's megaton of fun! We played several hours last night with my brother and I don't think I've ever laughed as much while gaming :D

We tried to sink a one-man ship & everything went wrong and that guy ended stealing all our hard earned loot lol but man that was a fun battle.

After only around 8 hours of playing through beta and full release I can tell it does need much much more content, events & stuff. But it's worth playing for sure, it's so unique and beautiful game. Not enough content for 60€ so I'd recommend a game pass sub.

There were a lot of people expecting this game to be high 80's to low 90's. None of them were on this site of course. Just people on other less reputable forums, and youtube. Even I was expecting an 83 or 82. That seemed to be the general prediction consensus around here a few months ago.

But it does make sense why it went so low. I mean it is Rare. A company that hasn't had a critical darling game since Viva Pinata. Hell, I doubt half the people that even worked on VP are even at Rare anymore these days. And I bet there's only one or two people still around from the N64 glorydays.

40 from Stevivor, but the score amazingly only went from 71 to 70. Think there’s likely to be more of these brutally low scores, based on the content complaint.

Kinda strange... 5 days since realease date and only 19 reviews on xbox biggest game in 2018.

Good riddance. He was severely under-qualified. Hopefully he gets a new job where he doesn't make an ass of himself across the internet.

He still has a show, I would say a good one, but I know your stance on anything jim. And com on, what makes someone qualified to review games? If a site can give a 90 to sea of thieves, then jim was not the only one.

It takes genuine talent to see greatness in yourself despite your absence of genuine talent.

Nothing wrong with a site giving SoT a 90. These are all people playing games and giving their opinions.

I agree. As wrong as I belive it is, they can still think what they want.
