The game is a critical disappointment, you're just going to have to live with that. Good, solid game idea but no depth. That's it. Quit trying to defend it and act like others are wrong for being critical of an element they don't enjoy. It's a completely valid response, and I happen to agree that the game would be far better if it had an actual progression system. as it stands, they're charging full price for a game worth perhaps one third of that, if I'm being generous. If you like it, that's fine! all the power to you! I loved the movie Hook, but I don't pretend it's a cinematic masterpiece. |
Have you tried the game yourself? I take it you're interested in it because you've written so many heartbreaking posts about it. It just seems like you're trying to convince yourself and everyone else that the game is not good and there's no depth. Don't care about critics, there's a good chunk of people having fun and enjoying the game. Complaints about lack of content are valid of course, obviously everyone would like more of everything. It's a GaaS game so likely they'll add new stuff. What makes you think the majority are not enjoying the game anyway?
And because there's no "actual" progression system, you can jump in any time and have an equal set of weapons and such so you don't have to grind your ass off to keep up with other players. It's one of the things I absolutely love about Gears of War, you only get cosmetic stuff when leveling up.
If you already have X1 or PC it's only 10$ to play the game for a month and see if you like it. Not a bad deal if you ask me.
