Wow, looks like the February trend is continuing in NA. Of course in Japan, Switch coming in like a wrecking ball.

The promotion and temp. price cuts (for XB1) are done this week though (after march 3rd).
So next week it ll probably be lower (for XB1 in US).

In Japan Switch is gonna continue to dominate imo.
Just as in Europe the PS4 will probably also keep doing so.

Switch has yet to receive a price cut and is coming off its worst two-month-stretch in terms of first party releases. Switch had nothing in January and only Bayonetta 2 in February. Bayonetta is an IP that doesn't sell hardware, so a port of an old game wasn't going to do anything worth of note.

I don't even know when the Switch will get a price cut, the Wii U only had a semi-price cut by making the Deluxe version the price of the standard one, but it never actually went down.

I think Nintendo is makeing enough on each sale, that if it was willing to sell it at break even point, they could lower the price abit today.
But yeah, might not see a price cut until Nintendo do a "New Nintendo Switch XL" or such (like the New 3DS XL ect).

at least now youtubers and websites have something to use for clickbait now

Switch is still selling better in North America and Japan, not so much in Europe. Not surprising though, because Europe loves the PS4.

I think you misread the numbers.

Op. Monster Hunter Japanese PS4 bump is officially over. Everything is updating so regularly now. S' great!

That would be very interesting. Helps putting things into perspective.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

I agree. Is a nice tidy way of looking at it.

Kirby Star Allies is apparently doing quite well, so I'm eager to see if it'll have a noticeable effect. Otherwise nothing much to say this week, well I guess 3DS didn't have such a bad drop so 50k might be the baseline, which wouldn't be bad for a 7 year old system.

I don't see a Switch XL happening, they can't change the size of the Joy Cons, and really the screen is already plenty big enough for a portable. If one wants an even bigger screen there's always docked mode. They'll definitely want to cut the price though to increases the system's appeal in general but more specifically to the handheld market. I expect to see a $50 cut next year, and then one more down the road to reach that $199 sweet spot. Value saving bundles will also be implemented at some point, probably starting this holiday.
