Same thing I said to the other guy above. Yet worse for you since you even say people have different taste, then still call people who dont like what you like as the odd man out.

And yes, I heard of minecraft, to me it looked like garbage when it came out, tried it, was garbage and moved on. I don't have time for endless games, I prefer short rewarding experiences, than repetitive endless busy work.

Do you see the problem with your post? I am not calling you out, however when you consider social games nothing more than *repetitive endless busy work.* That right there is why you just proved my point. Socialising and having fun is none of the above. Try it sometime.

Also care to explain the difference between Sea of Thieves to games like Gran Turismo, No Man Sky, Street Fighter, Pac-Man, Tetris etc? All different genres yet judging by what you are saying they also fall under that repetitive endless busy work title you just used on SoTs. Maybe video games isn't for you, I don't know.

Just to add, there is lore in Sea of Thieves and there is an end game in case you haven't been following the news.

DO you just lock a part and erase the entire post or something. Like 10 words before what you focused on I just said "TO ME".

And yes, all those games you mentioned are equally as boring TO ME. I dont care about genres, I love rpgs but I still hate monster hunter cuz is a grind fest.

Sea of thieves could have lore, but lets not kid ourselves, its gonna be the least of the focused if any. It wont be boring just for me but everyone else as well while they say, "but this game is not about story anyways".

It takes genuine talent to see greatness in yourself despite your absence of genuine talent.

1) Sure it is an assumption, and you have made some over here and in several threads... like the 400M profit Halo did.

2) Don't rate a person you don't know, also you don't need to play something to say you won't like. Seeing the news about it and seeing videos of it can help you knowing that.

3) You do personal insults and then say others are taking it personally.... sure.

4) If you had played several and liked none then you would expect a new one to be good? Nope, you wouldn't.

1) My point still stands, not one person was able to link me proof of other games reaching similar milestones to Halos $400m revenue boost in its first week.

2) Basing your point off what people show you and videos is completely different to playing the games. Id rather play it to judge it.

3) No personal insults have been giving out. Just response to comments that feel like digs at a game.

4) Anything is possible. I remember when World of Warcraft was new, I told my brother I was not interested in it, I just prefer the RTS. I played the game 6 months after launch after a lot of convincing and guess what.. 14 years later I am still playing the game.  Keep your eyes open, never base an opinion off others.

5) Lets drop it. This thread has moved on.

No I just highlight what I read. What got me was your *repetitive endless busy work.* and *Unlimited Boredom* on a game you have not played yet and you never wrote TO ME for those quotes.

You made your point clear after your post which I have read through and understand now.

After playing the Beta I was also hoping for more things to do as it did seem a little repetitive however my question was answered when Rare show cased a video of many more things you can do in Sea Of Thieves. Now the game isn't just *repetitive endless busy work.* but full of fun side tasks and variety of quests you can do on the open seas.

Anyway I am not here to sell you the game. Just questioning your use of words.

If you are after a strong story focus game than SoTs is not for you. If you are after a fun big social game than I recommend it.

SO yes, you read what you want to read. Saves me a lot of time. DOnt have to waste any more time arguing with you.

Careful guys. You were already warned to drop it. It's not even on topic to begin with.

I'd take a 11 hour memorable experience like GOW 3 over a 100 hour repetitive game like Call of Duty. GOW looks like the GOW 3 experience but way longer and Sea of Thieves looks like Call of Duty in the way it spreads out play time. I don't get the deal about playtime anyways. If a game is 100 hours long that means I'll only play that game for 15 to 20 weeks so that kind of time is only for incredibly good games. I wonder how people get the time to play several 100 hour games in a year, that's just crazy.

No offense but comparing an open world RPG type game to a closed map FPS military shooter sounds completely borked.

Also, I'd rather take a game that I can play for hundreds of hours with friends, over a set piece film inspired game.

That way I could say comparing a hack and slash 20 hour game with deep combat mechanics to 2 hour long movies with no interactivity is much more borked. I'd like to see where these set pieces are, we haven't seen even 1 set piece in God of War.

You call it "deep" combat, yet it's a set of moves akin to what you get from a fighting game. The set pieces are the levels you fight in.

Either way, you comparing a game to CoD wasn't the best use.

I'm going to assume this is a joke thread and so not take it seriously
