I think this is where people differ. I for one would pay that $60 on a memorable 35hr experience, than pay $30 for unlimited boredom.

YouTube what beta players have been saying - you won’t find many players bored.  But if you can’t find fun in a highly social game, then maybe it’s you, and not the game that’s ‘boring’.

Thats the thing right there, I said the issue its me. I dont find social games interesting. I never play anything in multiplayer aside from some couch multiplayer. There are many people like me, just like there are many like you. SO I wanna know where do you come from by calling gamers who dont like what you like boring.

Hit the nail on the head. Social games are all about creating your own fun and being social. Strangly enough i guess alot of gamers out there that think these games are boring are probably boring people in general. I wonder if they ever heard of Minecraft, a game with alot less things to do in it apart from building, yet is consider one of the best selling games of all time.

Not everything needs that epic and cinematic experience to sell well or get high reviews. Different tastes for different gamers. These type of games are based around the simple fun factor.

Same thing I said to the other guy above. Yet worse for you since you even say people have different taste, then still call people who dont like what you like as the odd man out.

And yes, I heard of minecraft, to me it looked like garbage when it came out, tried it, was garbage and moved on. I don't have time for endless games, I prefer short rewarding experiences, than repetitive endless busy work.

Do you see the problem with your post? I am not calling you out, however when you consider social games nothing more than *repetitive endless busy work.* That right there is why you just proved my point. Socialising and having fun is none of the above. Try it sometime.

Also care to explain the difference between Sea of Thieves to games like Gran Turismo, No Man Sky, Street Fighter, Pac-Man, Tetris etc? All different genres yet judging by what you are saying they also fall under that repetitive endless busy work title you just used on SoTs. Maybe video games isn't for you, I don't know.

Just to add, there is lore in Sea of Thieves and there is an end game in case you haven't been following the news.

Ah, so you don't like online multiplayer player games to begin with.  You should probably state that first instead of just calling them boring.

He cleared up his comment with me by stating he doesn't like online multiplayer games in general.  I'm fine with that.  I don't primarily play single player games either.  But if I was going to call one 'boring', I would state that I already have a bias towards that playstyle.

Hope I see you on the high seas!

Yes he find MP games boring... but you and Azzanation think he is boring... but funny enough he is the bad guy doing the wrong thing right?

No I don't think his boring, I think what he wrote wasn't a true indication on what he was trying to say. He claimed the game as boring, when all he needed to do was write that his no fan of online games.

That's like me saying the Witcher is boring because I don't like RPG games.. (That was an example, don't take that part serious, I love the Witcher)

Destiny is another good example. That game has no business being played for more than 30 or so hours in order to experience all the content and max out your character, but people play for hundreds of hours because of the social factor. Sea of Thieves can potentially be the same kind of game.

They’re giving it away in Game Pass, so sales are pretty much irrelevant now and will be worthless to track. They’re going to rely on expansions and DLC to make the game profitable. In two years SoT could still be going strong, or it could get Project Spark’d/MAG’d. But two years from now we know the new God of War will be history, barring some type of Breath of the Wild tier masterpiece.

Yes sure, you haven't said that people that find games like SoT boring are boring people.

I think Witcher is boring, what is the problem? Another person may think it isn't, that isn't any issue at all, just different taste, not an indicative of defect on the person.
