Smash 5 is gonna do insane. Every Smash game sold better than the previus entry, plus literally almost every series on Switch break new record for the series.

 

Considering Smash 4 did 15 million, this game has a chance for 20 million.

Smash is after Pokémon the series with the biggest launch ever for Nintendo. Super Smash Bros Brawl is TOP 3 biggest debut ever for the exclusives, just after Halo games (3.3 million) and on par with Sun/Moon (2.7 million).

 

Smash Bros 5 could have a 2 million debut in NPD and may ship 10-12 million in 2018

While i don't agree with Rick most of the times, i think most people should respect him more.
it's ok to make jokes, i did it too, that "Switch fall of a cliff" is a meme at this point, but some of you are getting this too serious.

Remember, you have to respect your opponent. In Smash, and on Sales sites.

Cool to see games like Code of Princess, South Park, and Octopath Traveler chart for the Switch. 

I think very few games could immediately shot up to number 1 on a chart as a preorder without gameplay or even concrete info besides a release year, working title, and a CGI tease. Smash is gonna rock!
