it's a tie between persona 5,mario odyssey and monster hunter world

All I gotta do is look at my top 50 games list and pick the top game from this gen, as well as account for 2018.

That is followed by Persona 5>Monster Hunter World> Disgaea 5> DW9> ROTKXIII>Infamous SS>FFXV>FFtype0HD> etc.

Hate to sound cliché, but mine is Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Hyrule in that game is done far too well. Even if content (besides system wide stuff like shrines and seeds) was a little sparse. 

Breath of the Wild is it for me, but second place is probably a three way tie between Bloodborne, Doom and Last Guardian. If I could choose a remake that I haven’t even played yet, I’d probably go with Shadow of the Colossus as the origina is my favorite game.

Super Mario Odyssey is my game of the decade.  I seriously haven't had this much fun with a video game in a long time! That being said, Breath of the Wild is a VERY close second :)

Since PC, as per usual, is not included as an option (so Divinity: Original Sin 2 doesn't count), Dark Souls III (8.5/10) and Overcooked (8.5/10) first come to mind (yes, I like latter that much).
BotW is so far fine and enjoyable, but has way too many problems for me to rate it anything more (so far) than 7.5-8/10 - and I'm saying this as Zelda fan who usually rates them at around 8.5/10.

Probably Forza Horizon 3 since I got all the achievements for it and I pretty much 100 percent completed the entire game (well everything will be 100% completed once I do the two forzathons that give the two barn finds at the end of the month).

BOTW

BotW and Odyssey but Splatoon2 has gotten a great deal of my playtime. I've played a little of Witcher3 and Horizon but neither have really grabbed me (as much as i was hoping they would).

I finally got to play RE7 in VR and was a little disappointed (the character movement was so mehh, turning 30 degrees at a time) I thought i would love it enough to buy PSVR but now that I've played it I want to wait for Sony's next gen of VR. Although simple, Rush of Blood was pretty kick ass with the move controllers.
