This is quite a moment for me. Not since 2010 has any game threatened to dethrone my favorite of all time.....until now.

The game is definitely the best in the genre, a new reference was born! For me also one of the best games ever. I love the characters, the story is so exciting, the emotions and soundracks... fascinating <3

What are your favorite characters, currently ? @all

The visuals in this game felt like something you'd see in tech demo during the early life of a console.

Holy shit really. They've really come far.

Just finished my first playthrough. My god....

This game is quite the advance psychological study on human empathy. Like....my mind is reeling so hard right now over all of my choices in the final acts.

Greatness Awaits

a new character again, he is sooo awesome (great story / ingenious dialogues!) and looks cool.

This game definitely has the best and most interesting characters of the games-year 2018 currently, thats sure = )

I'll just copy/paste what I posted on my wall:

Just finished my first playthrough of Detroit: Become Human.

And the first thing that come to me when thinking about this "choose your adventure" experience is: Wow!

I've always enjoyed Quantic Dream's cinematic approach to video games. Heavy Rain was such a big leap forward for this type of choice oriented narrative, and Beyond: Two Souls was a step above it from a directorial point of view. But despite being good gaming experiences overall, they both had glaring plot flaws that tarnished what were otherwise very emotional journeys.

With Detroit: Become Human, Quantic Dream ups the quality of their writing, direction, and depth of their storytelling (you gotta see how nuanced the performance capture translates into real-time visuals) to create what is arguably one of the best written piece of interactive fiction the gaming industry has ever produced.

The amount of choices and the story consequences or branches that's been included in this game is staggering. I played my characters a certain way, and got the outcome for each of them because of those particular choices I made. Next time, I'll make completely different choices, and will reach different outcomes.

Many game makers invest their creativity into making their world bigger, with more places to explore and a plethora of monsters to vanquish. But in the case of Quantic Dream, they invest in making the story wider.

The choices aren't about the miles you'll cover on this big open-world map, or how much you'll prepare yourself to tackle a certain monster, like so many other games. The choices are in how you'll make the story progress a certain way over another. How your action at that particular moment, may come back at you at a later point in the story. It's a different take on interactivity, and it can only work well if the story is good and told honestly. And in this case, all the bases are covered.

Kudos to David Cage and his team for finally delivering what they set out to do over a decade ago.

Truly, a phenomenal game.

I have to add that this game has some of the best human models in all of gaming. My god are the graphics outstanding.
I also have to say that out of the three main characters, the one I enjoyed the most was Connor. By far the one that captivated me the most, due to his characteristic robotic naivety.
