It's been on DS 3DS and 360 as well. Not been exclusive to PS in a long long time.
Anyway as for the topic a lot more wieghthas come about for this runor on ERA. Seems Namco has 3 total big exclusives targeted for summer this year.
This is plausible Namco have lent a hand in some prior first party games I know they were involve with Smash 4 and the SW 1313 studio being hired to be part of the new internal first party is possible as well as Lucas Arts was shelved by Disney.
This rumor seems quite believable, Ridge Racer 8 is definitely great if it's true because Switch needs more racers.
Hard to deny a job-listing. Considering Ridge Racer's part in Sony's legendary 2006 E3 presentation it's crazy to think a new one will be exclusive to Switch

I could see more and more (mostly) PS exclusive titles coming to the Switch. It's only logical.

NS does need it which is why this is certainly believable. Nintendo is filling up their range of genresz in a rather plannend way like DOOM or others in the past.
They only seem to pay for development to ensure exclusivity. So that makes a lot of sense.

I would love it. These guys seemed really talented and im sure Nintendo is involved in the making anyway.
It leaves us with Metroid AND another RetroStudio game.. that's wonderful
