Forums - Sony Discussion - Optional Bosses for God of War confirmed

Yup, God of War is taking a Zelda approach. Happy this game is going open-world and really excited to see how they pull it off.

what does that even mean?

1)GOW is NOT open world, NOT even close, it's just like Uncharted 4 was, bigger levels but it's 100% a linear game, it's not even comparable to dark souls levels

2)it has voice acting

3)it has a story

4)it has a great soundtrack

5)challenging over the top gameplay

6)set pieces

7)real boss battles

8)graphics that don't belong in the past 4th decade

how does ^=zelda in any way? what are you talking about?

why do you link that article to only say that it has optional bosses when there's a 30 minute interview that has tons of info?

Sounds pretty good, almost souls-esque. Looking forward to this one.

0331 Happiness is a belt-fed weapon

Sounds interesting. This will make game more fun and increase replay value.

I like this idea. Thought I saw ''optional loot boxes'' for a brief moment when I saw it on the front page.

lol, way to take that overboard. When I say Zelda I meant grabbing new abilities and going back to previously explored areas to find new areas with that obtained ability. Jeez man, don't ruffle your feathers over this.

Haha, I have a GoW avatar, I've had it since 2006. What does "graphics that don't belong in the past 4th decade" even mean lol. Zelda has a majority of those that you listed HAHA.

I deleted those images because they were taking up too much space.

2) There is voice acting in Legend of Zelda https://youtu.be/gO5RtXgIZtA?t=1m5s

3) Kind of ignorant to say, they all have had stories. Personally I enjoy GoW's story, but... Zelda definitely has story

4) Music is some of the best... https://youtu.be/8ulEMXUNyRo

5) Umm, God of War really isn't that challenging. I mean God Mode, but in general enemies just do more damage. Even I've beaten God of War on God Mode. Zelda will definitely have you thinking more... Odd inclusion haha.

7) Boss battles https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JazbX6FAgE8

8) Yeah God of War looks amazing, but I still am not sure what 4th decade is guy who only has 3 posts to his name.

So that is 5/8 technically (2,3,4,5,7) and some of them really make no sense. Haha, I'm sure your trolling so I will leave you be.

Lol, this is gold, I love it.

Taking the Zelda approach, lol ??????

God of war has always had returning to previous areas, like with Apollo’s head to open passages when you go past an old area.

This is now a Zelda thread.
