Because what they are saying is true, it is destroying/dominating on the Amazon rankings.

The only time they should be called out is if the say it will dominate NPD solely based on the higher Amazon ranking.

Cause they aren't making posts saying Amazon is inaccurate.  They are making predictions/assumptions.  That's their business and  I have no issue with that.  The post you quoted never would have been made if quick hadn't made a post throwing shade at the Amazon chart's accuracy.  

I'm not going to go around wagging my finger at every person drawing conclusions from the charts.  That is, participate in the thread exactly as expected.

The main thing that was bought up by yourself and others is that we can't put weight onto the rankings, right? That how can we use the rankings to gauge how each is selling when a console in 15th could be selling similar qualities to something in 30th etc? What you're saying is that you can put weight on the rankings to say that Switch is dominating but you can't put weight on the Amazon rankings to say that it suggested there would be a bigger gap between consoles in NPD.

I just think it's a little hypocritical.

That's dominating? Remember ranking positions don't really matter to much in gauging success. I can see 2 Switchs,  3 PS4s and 5 Xbox Ones. Maybe we should say Xbox is dominating?!?

Can those who keep saying Amazon could be wrong or other retailers say 'this' please stop frequenting the Amazon threads. If you don't think it's reliable, stay away. YOU are the reason I stopped updating and the last person stopped updating. People update the numbers for people who realise Amazon is remarkably good at predicting the outcome of NPDs. When you take the time to regularly update this thread, it makes it feel a pointless endeavour to do so, especially when your updates get buried by those that doubt and then those that endlessly try to explain why you shouldn't doubt.

Stop.

Seriously I have to ask why do people in this thread and multiple others keep(seemingly anyway) make it out as if they are surprised the Switch is doing well with no "new announcements". It is STILL the hottest new item as far as gaming goes and it has two of the highest rated games ever in BOTW and SMO. Bayo 2 is hot and Splatoon 2 is super fun and hot as well. So to me I would be more surprised if it was NOT selling as well s it is. Or am I just looking at it wrong?

And do not get me wrong I am super excited it is selling so well. I love to see a healthy industry! SO I hope it keeps on rolling!
