I can't see PS4 catch up with last year in the coming months while it had the Gold edition and Crash to explode it's sales for June/July. Pretty sure 2017 will be the peak of the PS4, i think we can expect around 115 million lifetime.

Me neither, but I'm stating this for some months already. PS4 baseline last year was over 250k, seriously outside of weeks 16 and 17 where it dipped to 245k all weeks are above 250k, with many even above 300k. This year the baseline seems to be about 50k lower, and the boosts from game releases ain't enough to counterbalance that.

Yea, the boost in japan helped a lot early 2018 but i don't even see the PS4 staying at this baseline for the summer cause last year it had the Crashmania going on. I mean maybe they will announce a price cut at E3.
Switch is going to be comfortably up Year over Year no doubt. Maybe by as much as 3 - 5 million.
Red Dead Redemption 2, Kingdom Hearts 3 and Spider-Man will help PS4 back on track.

I would even say 5-7 millions. Switch only did 13 millions last year in 10 months and when you look at the coming months, the Switch went down a lot during the entire summer cause of stock issues. It will easliy do 3x and 2x last year numbers for the summer and has better system sellers for Q4.
They will also do better during black friday, Switch did bad last year but it has Pokémon and probably bundles/deals for this year so it might gain 500k more on a single week lmao.
That's a reaaaally long time between releases though. Spider-Man doesn't come until September 7th (Happy Birthday, Dad!), RDR2 is in late October, and Kingdom Hearts is just listed as Q4 2018 which can range from October at the earliest to December at the latest.
Unless Sony has a plethora of special editions, deals, or even a price cut planned in the Summer, the gap is going to be too big to overcome.

Switch should hit the first Million in 4-5 weeks, and from there with more high-profile games releasing through summer and fall it will only grow. 3 Million is basically already locked in, and with both Smash and a Pokémon game this holiday season Switch will sell bonkers during that time. So it's even possible to get above the 5 million if November is selling well this year, too.

If anyone is paying attention to the weekly % change for the weeks in April, all consoles are selling less, but PS4 is slowing down slower than both Switch or Xbox One.
I suspect the hype for the Switch is dying down faster, while the PS4 is on a more steady decline, hence why it is still selling more world-wide than Switch. Only region Switch is outselling PS4 is Japan, which is understandable.

Sony had a slew of big titles throughout spring keeping the sales afloat. The Switch, not so much, Kirby was the biggest release in 1st half of the year until Mario Tennis Aces will come out end of June. Switch didn''t loose it's hype, but it went through a drought period.
Just check the NPD prediction Thread and you can see that the Switch is crawling closer and closer to the PS4.
