Forums - Gaming - Anyone think I could get rich off an unopened copy of Zelda 2 NES?

Went into a store and ordered the original legend of zelda during the early SNES days and had Link 2 come instead. Well it was cheap so I said what the hell even though I had already owned this game for the past 5 years. I never  did open it, then I ran across it the other day. I've never sold any old games on Ebay or anything like that but this thing is pristine and I wonder if it would be worth my time. Any suggestions or big offers?

Ok I did my part, I bought No More Heroes, but they were out of Zach and Wiki.

Ok got Zach and Wiki, now if I could just finally finish Twilight Princess so I can play all these Wii games I got waiting. And no I won't buy Okami.

DNF, now there is a game that should have been scrapped completely. Reminds me of a kid whose been in school for 12 years and still doesn't know what he wants to do. At one point you just need to man up and get a job.

I'd say, sell it. you'd make a bundle to buy new games.

youd make a couple hundred probably.

the nintendo wii will outsell the ps3 and the 360 combined by the end of 2008.

PS3 will out sell the 360 june 2010.

GOTY of 2008 is super smash brothers brawl.... hopefully.

END OF 08 PREDICTIONS:

Wii: 45 million         xbox360: 26 million       PS3: 19 million (made beginning of 08)

wii: 44 million         xbox 360: 24 million      PS3: 21 million (made june 08)

wii code: 8094-5344-2140-1400

brawl code: 5412-9565-3232

You wouldn't get rich but probably enough to buy a Wii i would say. Maybe with a game as well.

Ya I'm not sure on that one... Zelda 2 wasn't as popular with most people as the original or SNES sequel. I'm going to guess at most at the moment you'd get on e-bay is 200$ and to get the 200$ you'll have to push to advertise it on some game sites.

Prepare for termination! It is the only logical thing to do, for I am only loyal to Megatron.

u'd prolly get 2x or more if it was original zelda instead of zelda 2, but hopefully u can still get a decent amount

Bets:Missed by 420k I bet leo-j vg$500 that wii will sell 31 million by 7/31/08.  Sorry, I don't think he has enough vg$ to make it with all of u that wish you could. Hit, with room to spare I bet kingofwale a 1-week ban that wii Americas ltd sales>360 Americas ltd sales as of the numbers for week ending 7/05/08 (using vgchartz homepage #s)

Predictions:

Wii will sell 18-20mil by 12/31/07  CHECKWii will sell 45mil+ WW by 12/31/08Wii will surpass PS2 sales WW by 11/17/11 (5yr anniversary)Wii Fit will hit 12mil sales in 2009MKWii+SSBB+Wii Fit+SMG > 50 mil sales by 2010 > gta4+mgs+gt5+ff13+haze+lbp

Get rich? No.
Make $100? Maybe.

Well here's another copy of a sealed Legend of Zelda 2 on eBay. I suggest you follow it's progress.

Also type in "nes sealed" into the eBay search engine to find all of the other ongoing bids for sealed NES games. Most are not getting nearly as much as you'd think. A sealed copy of Final Fantasy is going for $499 and Castlevania is going for $200 and they're the best i've seen thus far. Many games ae going for a few dollars to fifty dollars. Good luck selling it.

Unfortunately I think your a couple years too late to make the mint you would have made otherwise. Realistically consumers can now play the game legally on the virtual console. The game itself also has a half life due to the fact that few machines are still in working order, and there is a high likelihood that the cartridge itself will no longer function. Remember the games memory is in the cart not on the system.

You can probably make back the retail price on your game. A few years ago you might have made many more times that. Since it would have had a wider value. However now it is only of value to collectors, and there cannot be too many collectors who do not already have a copy of this title.
