Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Emily Rogers: Lots of Switch Ports For 2018; NSMBU Switch Port Coming?

Well if this really is going to be a port year, I'll go back to Wii U and 3DS and finish my unfinished games and complete my collection. Would be pretty disappointing, still hoping for Smash 5.

There are no leaks at Nintendo as usual.

Eh? The Switch was leaked months before it was announced. Pokken Tournament (WiiU) was leaked. Mario + Rabbids was leaked.

None of theses games are Nintendo games.

The Switch leaks were weak and leaked by third parties, not by Nintendo.

Emily Rogers said that female Link would be in BOTW. She also said BOTW would not be launch title but that Mario Odyssey would. She has been hilariously bad.

She has also been right, a lot of times. Not to mention that the Nintendo switch presentation got leaked the night before. Leaks can happen

They could very realistically pull out something like this for the holiday and Switch sales would be through the roof:

October: Animal Crossing
November: Super Smash Bros DX and Super Mario Maker 2

No Pokemon or Prime 4 even required.

Same here but if they added a good deal of new content then its possible i would reconsider.

I double dipped on Mario Kart and likely will on Smash Bros but i dont plan on double dipping for Hyrule Warriors or Tropical Freeze.

The NSMBU port further makes no sense when you consider Switch is already getting Kirby, Tropical Freeze port, and Yoshi this year. Adding a 4th 2d multiplayer platfomer would be way overkill.

I double dipped on Mario Kart, would for Smash, and I never bought Hyrule Warriors or Tropical Freeze so even if there's some sort of a drought/port frenzy, I'll be ok.

Ya ill be fine in a potential drought as well, still havent bought ARMS, Pokken, Splatoon 2, Skyrim and a few other major releases and thats not even factoring in the few dozen indie titles im interested in.
