Really good sales BUT the Wii’s strength was not really it’s first year or even it’s first year and a half. It was it’s second year on when the hype had reached top gear and software like WiiFit etc, sent it into orbit.

However if Nintendo carry on finding the formula anything is possible.

If you go with the VGC's numbers, 3DS did around 3 millions first 10 months. We don't know yet if Switch is above that because we don't have the numbers yet,but it is possible.

wii weakness was supply issues.

switch is only selling better because it launched in march and got a full holiday period. 2007 wii it  will out sell switch 2018 by a huge margin.

Talking about US, Switch has sold more consoles than any other platform in history on a time-aligned basis.

Yeah, but Switch is not only console-handheld that's launched outside holiday season, and become best selling platform in history on a time-aligned basis.

well 3ds is the other only notable one, and it was pretty damn close ps4 beat it by a little.

wtf? before switch launched people were saying it was doomed for launching in March and should have delayed to Christmas as it would boom better. 

Now somehow it is a huge advantage to launch in March?

its a huge advantage if you have a console in high demand, you have a nice launch boost at march, and a fully stocked holiday, consoles that launch at the holiday, hardly ever have enough to meet launch demand.
