For the people saying it costs too much, remember when people said Switch at $299 and a set of Joy-Cons for $79 would be DOA?

I don't know what to say about this. I mean, it is obviously not for me, but I don't know how kids and those who are "kids at heart" will react to it.

After 1-2 Switch I guess anything can happen.

Things can be overpriced and still sell (ask any popular brand). That doesn't make them less overpriced. Kids don't care what something costs if they're not the ones buying it and parents may not care if their kids want it, doesn't make $70-80 less overpriced for what will likely be minigames and some cardboard.

Sure but many people seem to be using price as a reason why they think it will fail, what im getting at is "hardcore" forum goers clearly are not the best at judging percieved value for the average consumer.

It's $70 because it is a game, a physical game that includes the cardboards..

I've read a few posts here and there, that say this shouldn't exist, that Nintendo should focus only on games for THEM. That valid gaming can't belong to anyone else.

This has to be dealt with....

My issue is that it's cardboard... this is meant for kids right? I don't see a grown adult playing with this. I could just see kids breaking this in an hour or at the least a 1-2 days.

As far as I know, replacement cardboards will be provided for free, or next to free, to those who have bought the game already..

In the Wii era, a lot of people complained that Nintendo used too much plastic. This is a solution to that problem..

It does the job, and it is VERY easy to get rid of. Environmentally, it is much better than plastic. I think they made the right choice, now that I think about it.

It's hilarious how quickly forum goers arrive at the conclusion that this one announcement means "2017 Nintendo" came out of left-field and this will be the norm going forward. Get over it.

I hope kids don't find it too complicated and parents don't find it too expensive.

"not for me"
Dah, it's literally for kids. What did you expect lmao.

These people might be kids........ You never know

If there is 7 years old on a forum like this, they are part of the problem.

I'm excited for the next line of Labo, which will include a cardboard R.O.B...

Have a nice day...

Nintendo can be so weird sometimes...

They try and reinvent the wheel far too much when they should just focus on making quality, interesting games. I mean, innovation within the games themselves I support, at long as it's fun, but the problem is they go far too much on the hardware/peripheral side of things. These things should be primarily just a means to an end, not the end itself. That should always be the games.
