So my question is when I look at the numbers from the 18'th of November and I take xbox and double it there is a 2,000,000 gap between PS4 and Xbox.  Now if I take the numbers from the 16'th of December and double Xbox's numbers there is only a 700,000 gap. Using your numbers PS4 has sold higher numbers globally every week between the two dates some of them by nearly double.  So how is the gap between the two closing?

November (33,000,000x2)= 66,000,000 - 68,000,000 = 2,000,000

December (35,800,000x2) = 71,600,000 - 72,300,000 = 700,000

If PS4 is outselling xbox the gap should always grow, thats basic math, the gap should only shrink if xbox sells more.

You're misusing fractions.

Why are you doubling Xbox numbers? As people have pointed out, over the holiday the PS4 increased the gap but at a lesser ratio.

it's always less than 2:1 during the holiday season.
