DialgaMarine said: I think people are knocking it’s numbers because 1) the X launched, and you would think new super powered hardware would give it a much bigger boost, and 2) a lot of the hardcore Xbox fans have been claiming power is the main driving force behind console sales, claiming it’s the main reason why PS4 has done so well. Yet, here we are with both the base PS4 and significantly weaker Nintendo Switch dominating the sales charts. I guess it’s more of an “I told you so” scenario, since said hardcore Xbox fans were claiming things would automatically turn around once X was out. |
Man way to put words in Xbox fans mouth that would of never been said. We all know that compelling software is what pushed hardware sales. The Xbox one X resolve the power superiority that PS4 enjoyed most of this generation but considering that there are more OG Xbox one and Xbox one S, Sony still hold power superiority in most household. Your statement doesn't make any sense like if we would of all forgotten about what Nintendo did with the Wii and doing now with Switch.
Your confusing so many different stage of the this current generation. Power being the main driving of this generation was when Xbox One and PS4 first launch, on top of that Xbox One had the Kinect bundle dragging them down and making the less powerful consoles more expensive.
The Xbox one X doesn't turn around Microsoft fortune and make them this console generation winner, it a positive shift in the right direction. If Microsoft play there cards right I still think they can over take Sony in America and build from there has everyone is slowly getting ready for next gen.
It will be interesting to see Sony response at E3 2018 will they show anything on the hardware side or simply focus on software lineup. I think that Sony might show a PS4 Pro Slim that rivals Xbox one X in power before we get PS5. But, Microsoft now having the most powerful consoles does give them better exposure has multi platform games run best on their console.
