I didn't saw this Ad at the time.
The part I remember was just those "most powerful ever" that Sony used on launch of PS4 and Pro (as both Sony and MS used when launching first because being the only next gen it was obvious they were the most powerful).
But since reading the link, I'll change my phrase to Sony wasn't pushing a narrative of HW power arms race (nor is MS doing it with X1X to any special degree) the only bad point for MS on X1X is the lack of 1st party and on my opinion their E3 had that strange touch of showing unimpressive games as improved X1X versions, but atribute that to lack of material to work with.
