At the price it currently is, I am not willing to dive in. I only have a base PS4, and I still have a 1080p TV, so I would want to upgrade both of those first before thinking about getting a PlayStation VR headset. I have never even used one, so I don't even know what it's like.

I choose the VR headset first before upgrading to a PRO (Again) and so glad I did, I have no desire to go 4k now and after my PRO upgrade I'll be waiting to pump money into a (hopefully) updated Psvr headset. In the end it's up to what you value the most but your values WILL change as soon as you try VR, No hyperbole it makes looking at a TV, no matter how high res, a dissapointment.

Well, I am still just fine playing Sega Genesis games with RF, so I don't know if it will really make me think that!

I'm mildly interested at this point. I'm waiting for next-gen VR headsets.

I'm interested when VR has proper hand tracking and pupil tracking.

The way I see it, smart phones are going to be able to iterate on these technologies a lot faster than the stand-alone sets, so my money is on phones getting VR right before anyone else manage to get a real deal out of it.

I am with John...I wanted to wait and get a Pro first but couldn't pass up on a deal and I'm incredibly happy I did. Except for Skyrim, where I definitely wish I had the Pro due to a pretty pixelated image, base PS4 is totally fine to get in PSVR. It's pretty incredible given the limited power of the system.

I couldn't care less about 4K atm. HDR in VR is what I want!

Very questionable. Phone VR is on a different level and not really comparable with decent headsets. It's more accessible for casuals, but the "real deal" will surely not come from phones. Especially not when stuff like foveated rendering/eye tracking  and proper controllers come into play.

Well, If I have bought it but still in its box, how do I fit into this thread?

Until the technology gets better, I have next to zero interest

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

A patient man. In fact, I'd call you the Inpatient. Slap it on your face, ya nut. :D

Hahaha, add to this, the fact that I got Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 yesterday... Laziness is strong in this one (pointing to myself), since the only thing that separates me from trying that on VR is connecting all the stuff

Not interested right now, waiting for much better Tech. Maybe I will have a try in the mid 2020s.
