they said over 2.6 million for October it was over by 10k. I'm pretty sure if nintedo was the best selling console in December they would have stated it.

They can't state it if they don't have data on other consoles' sales, which is 99.9% the most likely scenario.

LMAO, you had PS4 at 1.25 million and Switch at 1.35 million in your last prediction, what makes you think that now PS4 will win with Switch being at least 1.4 million?

Also, "around" 1.4 million is not even correct. Since you like to have Switch as low as possible in November , you should know that the less it sold in November, the more it sold in December, because the 1.4 million come from 4.8 million - LT sales of November.

If you have 760k for November, then:

4.8 million - 3.373.000 (Switch sales using 760k in Nov) = you have over 1.427 million in December. But, most important, it's OVER 4.8 million.

Over mean it sold minimum 4.8 million.  So, yeah........... is not around 1.4 million

Those sales figures from NINTENDO could be as of today.

Well, they said it was til the 31st of Dec. Though, it does say using their own data. We'll have to see how it corresponds with NPD data. Should be close, though.

And you could be right, it may just be to have positive news out there when it's announced someone else won Dec. Or it could have no correlation at all. We'll have to wait and see.

Speaking of October, did you know that Nintendo announced 2.6 million on the 2nd of November, but they didn't announce anything about winning the month until the 16th of November?

Seriously, you'd think that it would be obvious that Nintendo doesn't have sales data for other companies until NPD releases it.

I can't find that statement.

I mean, sure, that's fair enough. It just doesn't explain why you increased your PS4 prediction from 1.25 million to 1.5 million despite getting zero additional information about how it sold.

I always felt ps4 would sell over 1.5 or around, but benji the insider from resetera made me change my prediction, not sure if i should put so much stock in him, but maybe xbox being 199$ the whole month really hurt ps4 in December, who knows.

I think its likely that the $199 deal in Nov stole some sales from Dec.

i dont trust amazon, looking at amazon it seems nintendo owns the market.  abdiel is what made me change predictions, but i heard he's been wrong a few times.
