Got BotW and more money / better salary.
In 2018 I'll keep playing BotW and work harder for an even better salary.

It's been pretty good. I mean, just yesterday was pretty choice. Do you know what I did 6 times in 90 minutes? You'll never guess. I honestly can't think of a better year for gaming I've had, or will have for a long time. Zelda: BotW, Mario Odyssey, Xenoblade 2, Persona 5, Fire Emblem Echoes...three of these games have entered my top 10, and the other two are easily top 50. Quality-wise, it's been unreal, and I can't imagine 2018 topping this, so I'd say a solid 10/10.

As far as life goes...I mean...hard to rate this one. My dad passed away at the beginning of the year, so that obviously overshadows anything else that happened. I had a lot of time to brace myself for it (he was diagnosed with cancer 3 years ago), but his last two weeks was still the saddest point of my life, and still brings me down thinking about it.

I suppose on the positive side, I've been seeing career advancement, had my 1-year anniversary of moving into my first house, helped my mom move to her new home, and had a fantastic year for new anime. All trivial things in comparison, of course, but not negligible either. So while 2017 was pretty lousy on this front...I have high hopes for 2018 being much better.

Life: 8 out of 10

+Made a ton of friends in real life

+No longer socially awkward for the most part

+Discover that I have a ton of fun performing in plays due to an acting class I am now taking in college

-Still single and never even gone on date

-Stuck at a job I hate and been struggling since July to find a new one. -Failed 4 classes in this year

-Caused a minor fracture in my arm while walking to to class back in January, had to go to the hospital and wear a sling for like a 2 weeks.

Goals for 2018

Move out of my parents house and move to Eugene, Oregon to attend University Of Oregon.

Get a new job.

Go on at least 1 date this year with a girl.

Actually finish more like 2 Anime as they are airing this year instead of putting most of them on hold. 

Catch up on the Jojo Manga.

- Got rank 15 out of 688 in my high school (aiming for Top 10 this year)
- Passed both of my AP Tests
- Started working out
- Went to Mexico
- Learned a decent amount of Spanish
- Made a friend with a Japanese foreign exchange student at my school
- Passed both AP Physics and AP US History. I was one of 3 students in the entire school to pass AP US History with an A so I'm pretty proud of myself
- Was 5th in my school for the Academic Decathlon competition

Goals:
- Be able to run a 6 minute mile
- Get an internship at UC Davis for stem cell research
- Pass all my AP tests
- Get my driving license
- Finish Black Mirror, Assassination Classroom, House of Cards, and a bunch of other TV shows
- Stop being socially awkward and make new friends.

My 2017 was pretty great aside from a few personal problems. I'm gonna aim to make 2018 the year that makes me the happiest.
