Forums - Gaming - Too Human is a kick-ass game!!!

Too human will kick ass this year.

The story casts you as the cybernetic god, Baldur, who is in the midst of an ongoing battle that threatens the existence of mankind. You are forced to use your godly hand when an ancient machine sets out to eradicate human life. Too Human, the first in a trilogy of games that will take place during Baldur's saga, will catch up to Baldur as he is defending mankind from hordes of war machines.

yes this is one of the games that I am looking foward too

seems to have potential, but so do a ton of other games.  i will wait to even start passing judgement.

my pillars of gaming: kh, naughty dog, insomniac, ssb, gow, ff

i officially boycott boycotts.  crap.

I think the wikipedia page for the game has to be wrong.  It states that the budget for the game is between $80-$100 million...  I know the game has been in development since the Playstation 1 and for different consoles as well but with that kind of budget they'd likely have to sell around 3.25 million copies just to break even.

Wow, thats quite a chunk of cash for a game. On the other hand, at work my company picked up a project to develop a web presense for someone and they told us that previous to going with us, they spent close to 4 million dollars over three years and had to scrap it and start over. Big companies can bleed crazy amounts of money over time if projects go into limbo land. Has the project been in development by the same people the entire time? Maybe the dev studio went bankrupt and got sold to someone else who then re-invested in it (repeat several times)... As for the game itself, sounds like a neat concept =).

Silicone Knights has been "constantly" developing this game for about 8 to 10 years; there has been a steady stream of hype for this and it was supposed to sell well for the Playstation, N64, Gamecube and (now) XBox 360. It has been suggested that Nintendo and Silicone Knights ended their relationship because Nintendo refused to continue funding this game ...

I personally have doubts about this game because it has been in development for so long ...

I think they should hold back, and release this 1st qrt 2008. There are too many good games out this year as it is, and it will get lost in the rush. Give it some time/space to itself. And for some reason, the more I see about this game - the more it is reminding me of Halo (I know its quite different, but its just looking the same). Take away that sword, and throw a helmet on the guy...

Holding this game back is a problem for them, as the game is stuctured around being a trilogy (apparently they like chickens and counting) and all three are required to fit within Xbox360 lifecycle. As for $80 million: Denis Dyack, or whatever his name was, basically went on record saying that high production value games like his would be costing at least $80 million dollars, that this was obviously the way forwards for developmet, that they and Nintendo didn't share the same vision for the future, and that games should rival movies by being just like them. Oh, and that having been personally trained by Miyamoto and Kojima he's now ascended to god status. Obviously I'm a bit sarky, but he's also a bit up himself.

This game had a lot of bad press early on, let's see if it turns out good or bad, also that 80 million dollar budget could be for the trilogy as this is meant to be 3 games all coming on 360 in the next few years...

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

Looks good. Will it play good?
