Holding this game back is a problem for them, as the game is stuctured around being a trilogy (apparently they like chickens and counting) and all three are required to fit within Xbox360 lifecycle. As for $80 million: Denis Dyack, or whatever his name was, basically went on record saying that high production value games like his would be costing at least $80 million dollars, that this was obviously the way forwards for developmet, that they and Nintendo didn't share the same vision for the future, and that games should rival movies by being just like them. Oh, and that having been personally trained by Miyamoto and Kojima he's now ascended to god status. Obviously I'm a bit sarky, but he's also a bit up himself.
