What is being said is that Wii brought a demography that wasn't before and didn't keep over, hence the flunctuation from GC-Wii-WiiU while on the case of PS and Xbox it had a transfer of users between both consoles, even admitted by Sony when queried what was the origin of PS4 userbase.

True.

Japan continues to be handheld land. Congrats nevertheless to Nintendo for kicking ass in Japan and doing superbly in the US. Worldwide it is difficult to project with certainty, but I think that dedicated handhelds will see a continued decline( yes I know that the switch is a hybrid). The decline in handheld sales will make Nintendo more reliant on home console sales and while I think they will do well, most of their long term success will be in Japan.

Correct, and quickly followed by the 360 and PS3.

edit- Forgot about the Gameboy Advance as well that slightly outsold the PSP but sold fewer systems than the aforementioned home consoles.

Yep PSP is next

PSP is at 80.82m

GBA is at 81.51m

Xbox 360- 85.80m

PS3- 86.90m

The top 5 sellers are over 100m, this was the 2nd half of the top 10 which includes PS4 at 70.6m.

its only me or the 3ds is kinda failure when you compared with the sales of gameboy or the DS?

OP: after 4 years the PS3 was sitting at nearly 44 million units sold, Ps4 is at nearly 71 and people are dubious about PS4 not reaching more than 120 million units sold?
