Pretty sad you have now spent almost 3 months attacking a kids movie

Pretty sure he's just giving box office info. That's all.

Pretty sure you can’t read between what he has and continues to do.

Sorry. I just don't feel like trying to read between the lines. The thread got really toxic sometime ago and I've barely been involved with the thread since then. I mean, one user (not the OP) said I was wrong for liking The Last Jedi.
Two other things that are very interesting.
1. BP is currently sitting at $1.08B. This is only $260M behind where TLJ seems to be ending its run at. There's a good shot, if legs hold up, that BP could come close to matching TLJ, maybe even passing it. I find this freaking hilarious. Mainly because TLJ was supposed to easily cement itself at #2 at the DBO for years/decades to come, yet won't even enter the Top 5, and was supposed to be hitting $1.7B+ WW. BP, on the other hand, looks like it actually will take #5 from Avengers, pushing TLJ to #7, and could end up doing 1.2B-1.35B WW.
2. TLJ actually gained 25 new screenings this weekend, yet still fell 2.6% from last weekend. Compare this to RO, which will see just 13 new screenings next weekend, yet rose 140% over the previous weekend. The legs on this film are just terrible.

If you want to call looking around for any way to make a $600+ million movie look bad, I suppose you could call it objective. |
Maybe you're right. I just haven't really been involved with the thread for a while.

I don’t care if you liked or loved it. But there’s a difference between not liking a movie and obsessively hating it

That's true.

That’s why I pointed it out. Man, like I didn’t really think Wonder Woman was that great but I didn’t still talk about any negative news about it or crap like that 3 months down the line

Pretty sad you enter a thread because you feel the need to defend a kid's movie. Though, what makes it even sadder is that you have to actually degrade Star Wars, a franchise for ALL ages, to a "kid's movie" to try to take a shot at me. I'm sure those 20-40 year old fans really appreciate your analysis of the film. But, hey, if it makes you feel better attacking me, as well as them, just to ignore the poor performance of this film due to fan backlash, you go right ahead. Just know this movie was still seen as a disappoint to millions of fans and Disney isn't exactly thrilled with its performance, both in terms of tickets and merch. Not when they thought it was going to do at least $1.7B and a standalone Marvel film now threatens to take its spot.

When that movie is a Star Wars film, the largest franchise in history...Well, it used to be. I think Disney has degraded it to #2, now, as MCU takes its spot. Anyway, the follow up to a film that did $2.07B and broke the DBO record, and the safe bet for the film at the DBO was $750M+, $1.7B+WW...Yea, that does look bad. Especially since it has undoubtedly hurt the brand in the now, with lower ticket and merch sales, and we'll have to see the release of future titles to see how it has affected it in the future.
