Anyone playing Starblood Arena? The PSN freebie this month. What is your experience, able to find a game?

I'm planning to try it out later. I had the fun situation when I was shopping to supplement my PSVR purchase after XMas.. I saw this in the bargain bin for 19,99 € and I hesitated to buy it, because I was clearly questioning the player numbers....Was very relieved when I came home to notice, it was going to be on PS+ in January...which would, of course, increase the player numbers considerably (and I had just saved 20 € of course).

Are you still finding it hard to find a game atm?!

I've passed the 130 hour mark on Skyrim VR and still need to go to Solstheim. I've explored the main game pretty thoroughly by now, just the main quest to finish.

It will be strange to play short games again.

I've only been able to play RE 7 for a long period, like 2 or 3 hours there at one point. I think it's because the game is so engrossing you forget about your own bodies comfort. How do you deal with comfort issues though playing Skyrim for so long, as much as I want to play after like an hour at the very, very most it gets pretty hard not to take the thing off, give my face a wipe and give just recoup for a minute or two or grab a cuppa. Mostly I get the itch multiple times in an hour which can be infuriating to say the least. That rubber leaves no breathing room.

I usually take a break after an hour and a half or 2, get a cup of tea, browse the chartz for 15 minutes and go back. Too warm is not a problem atm, tonight it's only -22 outside :/ The occasional itch is annoying, and last night I had to play with the charge cable in one of the moves, forgot to charge it. It kept getting tangled with the headset cable doh.

Yet once I'm deep in the game exploring underground I don't notice all that anymore. Then on a loading screen I get reminded of the thing on my head and the cables under my arm.

With DriveClub I managed to play for 3 or sometimes 4 hours in one siiting, very short loading times, not enough to notice discomfort. DS4 is also still more comfortable than 2 move controllers, easier to sit any way you want with a DS4.

Always thought a VR Castlevania would be cool.

I was scared it was game over for me with Skyrim. The game crashed twice during the long cut scene on the top of the mountain with the elder scroll flash back. I had to do everything leading up to it again as I had not saved (I already had the scroll) then it crashed again. Restarting the ps4 fixed it, third time it didn't crash on the arrival of Alduin.

A chaotic battle followed for which I didn't prepare as usual.

I should have organized the favorites menu first and selected something better than iron arrows lol. It looks like a mess in 2D, yet in VR you never lose your situational awareness. The odd turns come from fast smooth turns with the face buttons on the move while compensating with head movements, like a typewriter resetting (I'm old) It's a shame there is no quick change between the last 2 configurations.

Admiring my handy work, you get quite accurate with the move controllers after a while.

These night skies are my favorite in VR. Even better when the snow starts blowing or the clouds drift in between the mountains.

Never more than 30 seconds away from a match, been playing now for about 2 hours and have reached rank 5 after about 10 matches which are INSANE, it's so good. Not one bit of motion sickness or however some of the maps are a little too detailed for my liking, makes them feel cramped. The mechanics, graphics sound...all of it feel like a AAA game. I'm itching to get back into right now.

I’ve tried it out now and I love the style and the characters. Although I must say I got disoriented quite easily and I could really feel my stomach. The controls will get some getting used to, but both SA and RIGS seem like really solid titles for VS VR. Let’s hope people keep playing them.

I just tried the The Persistence demo...wow, the game really got me. Very intrigued now. Dead Space like survival horror with a rogue like mechanic. The atmosphere really got me. I so want a System Shock game in VR now!!!

I took a small break from Skyrim to take more cars out on the Nurb in VR. Shelby Cobra, Ferrari F40, Chapparral VGT 2X! Insane in VR. Alpine Vision GT and more.

No known plans on expanding it unfortunately :( 1 lap, pick another car, wave goodbye to the AI at the start :/

My god GTsport with a wheel in VR is something special. Anyone know if they plan expanding it?

I am sure they will, but yeah...it's quite the experience. I am driving a Miata in real life and it is kinda uncanny how real it feels to drive that Miata around the track, even with just a pad.

I would definitely like to know more about their plans...I don't understand why they can't just add something like a customisable A.I. difficulty, or time trial to the VR mode. I must be a matter of days to implement something like that.

I definitely hope they will release some kind of VR DLC this year. I know for certain that Sony had demoed GTS in VR with up to 16 opponent cars on a Pro months before release to certain journalists....I'm kind of certain this wouldn't work on base PS4 though, due to the high level of graphical fidelity on those cars. I'd be totally OK if they'd make it Pro exclusive, but that could be a thing Sony is hesitating to do...at least now. I really hope that's not the reason we won't get this at all, especially after hearing that it was working already. It could just mean we will have to wait longer though...I'd kill to know.

I'm certainly hooked on Skyrim, RE7 and Ultrawings atm. All 3 are exceptional.

most people that vote for couch vr havnt tried vr yet

Why?! It totally depends on the game. I must say I mostly prefer seated experiences myself. Standing up is pretty exhausting after some time. Ok for short experiences but not for 5-10-300 hour games. Not even talking about cockpit experiences. Most people don't even have the room for a dedicated VR area. I have a fairly decent sized flat and I know I don't.
