Forums - Sales - Amazon U.S. December bestsellers and general Amazon-based discussion

Nice to see the Xbox climbing. Hopefully all 3 consoles sell very well, though I still think the Xbox will squeak it out :)

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

Looks like all the console are starting to slip a bit, most people still in the market for them will probably go B&M route. It was a pretty intense battle between Switch and PS4 on Amazon this week, we'll see how much of an impact that has on overall Dec sales.

A wild SNES Classic has appeared!

It used, "Take the #1 spot!"

It's Highly Effective!

Already sold out???

Well, that didn't take very long.
If Nintendo provided enough supply to meet demand, it just might outsell the original SNES! XD

Nintendo are not going to take a risk with production and distribution this early in the cycle and certainly not when it coincides with the best time of the year for console sales. They'll need at least another year on the market to best maximise production and distribution. It's all well and good forum user, like myself and others, talking about upping production to 'win' some arbitrary contest of fanboy fantasy, but a company prefer numbers to dice.

They can't know for certain how things will go until they have hard numbers and can analyse trends in sales. This is how you end up with consoles on shelves in some countries (dead revenue) and selling out in other countries (potential revenue lost). Give them time to evaluate, as any other company do. Next Christmas they'll know EXACTLY what to expect for the US (and other counties) and will distribute accordingly.

The PS5 Exists.

SNES still a crazy hot item, my local Target has gotten some huge shipments of them in December. So Nintendo is trying to fill some of the demand, not sure why it took them so long to restock Amazon though.

SNES, Switch and PS4 are killing it
