it seems to me it's the same market, you say there marketing young adults, but it's only nintedo  games that have sold over a million. again the system  just came out, and were still in the  early adopters phase when those statics were released.

But fact is that huge majority of Switch owners are young adults, fact that only Nintendo games sold over 1m doesn't prove those are game for kids. Yes, Switch just came out and yet you keep saying that this will be Switch peak year and that kids will be main market for Switch.

I already told you why this is the case, product just came out, and was supply limited indicates it's mostly being bought by nintedo fans, and core gamers, but that market is not sustainable, just look at nintendo home console sales, 3 out 4 have sold from mediocre to bad. the reason why nintendo is so successful with handhelds is the kid market.

Today is the last day to order a Nintendo Switch from Amazon and have it be delivered by Christmas:

Again, you again missing point that Switch is not only handheld (its home console in same time) so of course it will not depend on kid market, and even 3DS for instance started being more appealing for kids when got price point $150 or lower while Switch is $300 product. And again, point is that Nintendo this time around is marketing Switch for young adults on first place, that's totally different to Wii U, 3DS and Wii marketing.

well agree to disagree. all i see is the same nintedo  games selling millions, so i don't see how its reaching to a different market.the switch commercials are of course much better. because putting kids makes it seem like it's a product for kids, while using young adults  makes the product seem like it's for everyone.i also already told you most nintendo homes consoles sell bad after playstation came out.

The XB1 Forza deal is slowly but surely climbing up the ranks.

If Zelda/splatoon/3d mario are all the highest selling games in their franchises lifetime wouldnt that mean its reaching a new audience? Ex Highest zelda previously was Twilight Princess and thats around 8.5mil lifetime. BotW will be way ahead of 10mil lifetime

The Gray Switch and Star Wars PS4 have just been going back and forth these past 2 days.
The Neon Switch is looking to join the fun too from the looks of it.

The games are some of there best work in a decade, and it's nintendo next console and a handheld, so it makes sense that sales  will go up for those games.

3D zelda was never on Handheld before (excluding remakes) so it would mean nintendo attracted new customers to the system correct? If BotW is number 1 i mean. If it sells lets say 11mil. Thats 2.5mil+ more than the highest selling previous top seller. And Thats if all 8.5mil that bought twilight princess bought BotW which is very unlikely (especially given it was on the casual wii console).

My point is there are new audiences aside from nintendo fans that are buying the game(s). Maybe just maybe BotW is the first LoZ game for many? Like at least 1mil+

Edit: btw zelda botw in Japan will finallt sell 1mil+ which no zelda has done since 1996... That has to be some new consumers buying the game wouldnt you say? :)
