I think when it comes to Xbox One performance in the US it might be important to take the Microsoft Store sales into account as well. I have noticed that MS Store throws in various other perks. For example, you can purchase these $200 console bundles (including the Forza one, the Minecraft one, etc) and add in another game of your choice, this might be drawing some Xbox buyers away from outlets like Amazon, Gamestop, etc.

Other retail sites that sell games don't usually trend the top consoles for the month as well as Amazon. Usually because they have brick and mortar counterparts that do most of the business. Online best sellers from these sites tend to be more random at best.
