They have removed the ability to refund it on Origin now, lol

EA be like:

They just keep digging themselves deeper each time with this.

I imagine why they stopped Origin refunds though, as on that store, they make 100% of each purchase, while with other stores, they'd have a cut of the profit.

It is really funny. The amount of bad press they are getting seems to be worse each time they come out and "fix it"

I mean they break some record on Reddit for downvotes so they fix it by reducing the cost, yet they reduce the reward, so in the end the same. Now they remove refund option, or make it harder at least.

Like seriously I wonder how many lost sales they have garnered with all of this crap.

Sad thing is, even if this game sells say 1/3 of the sales of the first game, with these micros' it will probably still make more profit for EA and thus it will continue.

For the love of God, please no one spend on single penny on ingame transactions for this game.

I didn't preorder it, but I sure wish I did so I could participate in overloading their cancellations requestsm

What makes it all the more hilarious for me, is that my casual friends on Facebook are waking up to what EA has been doing with the game, and they are starting to get sick of what they've been doing, so something is clearly working this time around, for casual folk to pick up on the bad vibes.

I still imagine the game selling decently, mainly because it's Star Wars, and the movie is due out in Dec, so that's bound to spark a few million more sales.

It'd be super nice if the casual audience collectively stood up and said "no" to EA, while holding off from buying their game. Then I can enjoy watching the shareholders cry, over the millions they won't be making, because they don't give a shit about this industry, only to make more money from it.

Well assuming that the original sold about 14 mil across all platforms including digital ... they'd still make a decent profit if it sold 1/3rd that

I don't mind having to unlock characters. Heck I wish it was like it was back in the day when the characters were all unlockable but the time it takes is completely unreasonable. No game in the early 00's required that long to unlock any hidden characters in any game.

They've been way too obvious that they've made it all about the loot boxes.

Yeah, but you don't see Mario being locked in Smash Bros., Raiden, Sub Zero and Scorpion being locked in MK, Ryu, Ken and Chun-Li being locked in SF, now do you?

I didn't think so.

There's a reason for that. SPOILER: same reason why Luke and Vader shouldn't be locked in this game.

Man, this just keeps getting better and better

Now while this cooldown is unacceptable, we do have to warn you about some false information that arose earlier today. Some users reported that EA removed the refund button from its customer portal due to the Battlefront 2 controversy. However, this button was removed from the customer portal a few months ago and not yesterday. So no, that removal was not due to the Battlefront 2 outcry."

I agree, 100% bs. I hope they seriously are affected by this.
