Forums - Sales - October 2017 NPD Thread! Switch #1

Like i said before, ps4’s time at the top is over. Nintendomination is in full effect. Ps4 had a good run but the switch has beat it most of this year. GtS even seems to have flopped and had no effect on hardware sales.

PS4 will continue selling well but it feels as if it’s days at the top are behind it. I’m genuinely shocked at the switch’s performance. I didn’t think anything could dethrone ps4.

You didn’t think a new system would dethrone the PS4 in its 5th year?

Guys he literally said after the post he made that he had no numbers. Am I missing something?

Looking at this posts, I don’t see where he says that.

You are that type of people that think mediocre is bad instead of average and unimpressive to be bad instead of expected?

No i just know when people are downplaying.

Look at his post history, hes been a member for less than a week with about 100 posts.

Hes not a Nintendo gamer yet over 90% of his posts are negative comments about Nintendo.

That's a pretty clear indication that he has an agenda.

2nd post since joining was Doom port is disappointing/worst case scenario.

3rd post, Switch sales drop hard next year.

9th post, Switch sales will drop hard next year.

10th post, Switch sales will drop hard next year.

In the LA Noire thread: Doom runs like a turd

"Selling on par with PS4/XBO in their best Oct is unimpressive"

You can see this behavior in almsot every post from him, hes a lowkey troll and very likely an alt.

Thank god we have people that can read minds and see intentions by interpreting others using false equivalents... just like people that think that me being very critic of some defenses mean I'm attacking, hating or trolling.

Maybe he is someone that hates Nintendo, but the word itself can't really put that unimpressive means bad. If you expected 300k (seems like most did) and it sold 290k or less would it be impressive? If it isn't then it would be unimpressive.

For someone that doesn't care about portability there is no denying that Switch was the worse port of the pack, thankfully Nintendo gamers thought it was decent enough and enjoyed it and the portable aspect.

Switch could drop off hard, but I don't think it's frontloaded, I do believe at the moment that Nintendo have good momentum and can keep it with the right strategy, but I do conceed that forcing a narrative of deep drop isn't neutral stance.

Being off-topic to put negative tone isn't good

Well, I would be beware of using the troll word, but perhaps he is attacking Nintendo for no good reason, I haven't kept tabs of his behavior. So I'll believe you and ammend my remark in the first paragraph =)

Mr Puggsly: "Hehe, I said good profit. You said big profit. Frankly, not losing money is what I meant by good. Don't get hung up on semantics"

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

You didnt months ago and this is one of probably 2 ps4 best years in sales. While switch had supply issues and will have a much better year 2 and possibly year3+year4

I have no problem with people saying negative things and each thing he said on its own is fine. Its the fact that of his 100 posts, 90% are negative about one single company while not being involved in any discussion that doesnt involve said company.

I can understand that and it's bad when someone is talking shit about something you really appreciate.

Didn’t you just say last week you don’t see that happening? Now you’re talking like it’s expected.

Looks like ps4’s days of being on top in north America are numbered if Microsoft and Nintendo keep it up.

Posts like this are why I love when it’s financial report time. People can harp on about MS and Nintendo all they want but so far I’ve yet to see the later dent the PS4’s momentum.

Its not so much that as much as its just baffling behavior to me, its so odd to me that somebody would spend so much time talking about something they dont like.

Im a big Nintendo fan so the majority of my discussions involve Nintendo, im not a bg fan of Xbox so i barely ever read or talk about that brand.

I'm guilty of sometimes go to threads that are over the top favorable to a console or game I'm not a fan and bring some reality to it =~] but I sure preffer to talk about the games and consoles I like... problem is that some weaks the threads are dominated by one HW or SW so you either leave the site or talk in threads you aren't really following.
