I think it will be a hit outside the AC fanbase because they don't know a proper AC.
If Nintendo promotes it well - as they and Niantic did with Pokemon Go, and the media gives it some attention, it has a chance to be a huge hit.
Probably it will be in Japan, even if it doesn´t get enough advertsiment
