Now, I am not doing this with the official go-ahead from the site or anything like that, nor am I committing myself to this idea as of now. However, I just wanted to see how many people would be interested in doing something like this. Now, there would be 2 options, that of physical gifts, and that of digital gifts. How that'd work out, I'm still not entirely sure. There'd also be the question of international shipping, or in the case of Steam price differences that prevent gifting. However, I just wanted to hear concerns, suggestions, etc. or even offers to take it over or run it or help run it if this does come to fruition. Once again, this is not confirmed or approved or anything like that, but I was just curious as to the demand.

Don't we already have one every year with Steam keys, Steam gifts and GOG gifts?

Most other digital stores (XBL Marketplace, PS Store and eShop) should also have gifting Options, but I'm not sure if there are regional barriers.

Physical + worldwide opens a can of worms, there will be at least a few cases with problems (lost parcels, shipping costs higher than the worth of the game, custom fees...)

We used to do this with the Wii. With XBO's newfound ability to gift games, maybe we could bring it back. I coincidentally gifted the new Lord of the Rings game to someone Yesterday!

To my knowledge, PS4 and Switch font have this option...yet.

I did a playstation one a few years back.

noname usually did the PC Secret Santa event, gifting games from GOG & Steam. Last year he wasn't here so I made an emergency version of it (I did it as well as I could).

This year I asked FunFan if he wanted to do it, because he showed great interest last year, and, while he can't, he's looking for someone to do it. If he can't find anyone, I guess I'll do it again, unless someone else is interested.

I've taken part of the Steam Secret Santa for several years in a row. I love participating in it each year.

It would be nice to have one.Shame that Sony nor Nintendo has a gift giving option.
